FREE WEBINAR ON WATER ANALYSIS

Tomorrow! September 8th, 2 pm EST.
In conjunction with American Laboratory Magazine, our Ion Chromatography expert Dr. Jay Gandhi will join panelist Teresa Tam (Illinois Sustainable Technology Center) and moderator Dr. Robert Stevenson (Separations Science) in discussing methods for trace level assays of perchlorate, bromide and bromate in drinking water.

This is a LIVE webinar, with time saved at the end for Q&A.

There's still time to sign up!  Register at: www.iscpubs.com/Webinars

Application: Trace-level chloride determination
Inline cation removal followed by chemical suppression and conductivity detection was used to determine trace levels of chloride in quaternary ammonium hydroxide. In this application the IC system used a high-capacity anion preconcentration and Metrohm A Supp 5 150 analytical column.

Application: Iodide in brine using voltammetry
Converting iodide to iodate and using differential pulse voltammetry, here's a straightforward method for the trace determination of iodide in brine used for chlor-alkali electrolysis. Major advantages over current methods include excellent price-performance ratio as well as excellent sensitivity and selectivity.

Application: Monitoring iodine absorption
When manufacturing carbon black, iodine absorption is a key indicator of surface area and grade. An at-line analysis system allows you to easily monitor this important characteristic.

Application: Determining phosphate in fertilizer
Phosphate may be titrated thermometrically using a standard solution of magnesium as titrant. Adapted from the chemistry used in the classical gravimetric method for determining phosphate, this method is much quicker, more precise and easy to automate.
